Computer Science 101

Throughout the DITCS101 course, homework will be given to the student to strengthen their ability to code and practice basic skills that are needed for project work. It's expected that the student must have passed all major projects on the year 10 course. Success on the DITCS101 course will allow the student to enter in the DDIT201 and DITCS201 courses. All assessments and project work must be the students own work, any plagiarism or breach of copyright will likely receive in a Not Achieved grade for the assessment and there will be no opportunity for the student to have their work re-assessed. Students will also need to credit their papercut account so they are able to print the papers that are needed.

Computer Science 201

Throughout the DITCS201 course, homework will be given to the student, to strengthen skills that are essential for their project work. It's expected that the student has passed all achievment standards in the DITCS101 course. Success on this course will allow the student entry into the DDIT301 and DITCS301 courses. All assessments and project work must be the students own work, any plagiarism or breach of copyright will likely receive in a Not Achieved grade for the assessment and there will be no opportunity for the student to have their work re-assessed. Students will also need to credit their papercut account so they are able to print the papers that are needed.

Computer Science 301

For the DITCS301 course, students will need to download a free software to allow them to do their python programming and web development work at home. It's expect for the students to have passed all of the achievement standards in DITCS201. If you didn’t already know, there are so many job vacancies out there in the big wide world for people with Computer Science qualifications. Mrs. Ellix will teach the web unit until the end of of Week 9 in Term 1, and also the databases unit from Week 3 of Term 3. All assessments and project work must be the students own work, any plagiarism or breach of copyright will likely receive in a Not Achieved grade for the assessment and there will be no opportunity for the student to have their work re-assessed.
